g. particular forests are: יער אפרים 2 S 18:6, see אֶפְרַיִם p. 68 supr.; cf. v 8, 17 (v. also Jos 17:15, 18); יַעַר חָ֑רֶת 1 S 22:5 (v. supr.); יַעַר לְבָנוֹן (v. supr.); יַעַר הַשָּׂדֶה נֶגֶב and יַעַר הַנָּגֶב Ez 21:2, 3 (v. supr.) fig. of Judah (land and people); v. also יְעָרִים infr.—שְׂדֵי־יָ֑עַר ψ 132:6 is a n.pr.loc.
