Many people do not believe in anything that cannot be replicated by scientific experiment. Those with this mindset often do not believe in either a literal resurrected Jesus, or the literal being of Satan. Skeptics deny that God answers prayers, the actual second coming of Jesus, and the destruction of the wicked at the end of time. This denial of the supernatural prepares the way for Satan to deceive them when he performs miracles that cannot be explained by scientific means.^[66] CSe 65.2

“Men of science claim that there can be no real answer to prayer; that this would be a violation of law, a miracle, and that miracles have no existence. The universe, say they, is governed by fixed laws. Thus they represent God as bound by His own laws—as if the operation of divine laws could exclude divine freedom.
