Although culture views living alone negatively, having a home to yourself provides a unique and special opportunity to get closer to God. When you’re free from certain responsibilities, you can put all your energy into creating a home centered on Christ. CWe 255.2

By having full control over your space, you can design an environment that promotes spiritual growth, peace, and encouragement. One of the primary benefits of living alone is being able to have uninterrupted devotion time. Whether through worship music, watching a sermon, saying morning prayers, or reading a devotional, living by yourself guarantees undistracted moments you can spend with God, something that can be difficult when more than one person lives in your household. In addition, living alone enables you to open your home to others, whether for prayer groups or Bible studies. The responsibility of taking care of a family can make hosting gatherings much harder than for people who live alone. So, if you’re feeling lonely, wishing you had others to share your living space, don’t feel sorry for yourself; look at the benefits that living alone provides — more opportunities for you to share your faith with others by fully dedicating your home to God’s service.[289] CWe 255.3

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 NIV CWe 255.4
