You don’t just practice a musical instrument once and suddenly become a master, right? You need to show up day after day, put in the effort, and keep practicing even when you don’t feel like it. CSL 42.2

It’s the same with our relationship with Jesus. It’s not a one-time event, like saying "I believe" and then that’s it. It’s an ongoing journey, a growing connection that needs our daily attention. Consider marriage. You don’t just say "I love you" at the wedding and then never show it again! You show love through words of kindness, acts of service, and spending time together every day. These consistent actions keep the love alive and make the relationship stronger over time. CSL 42.3

In the same way, our relationship with Christ needs that daily "showing up." It’s not about occasional “grand gestures,” but about the regular, everyday choices we make to connect with Him.25 CSL 42.4

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” Colossians 2:7 NKJV CSL 42.5

“Consecrate yourself to God in the morning; make this your very first work…. Surrender all your plans to Him, to be carried out or given up as His providence shall indicate. Thus day by day you may be giving your life into the hands of God, and thus your life will be molded more and more after the life of Christ.” Ellen White in Steps to Christ, p. 70 CSL 42.6

Reflect: How can you cultivate a mindset of "staying the course" in your faith journey, even during dry or challenging seasons? CSL 42.7
