Do you ever feel like something is missing? Like you’re searching for purpose, direction, or peace that nothing seems to satisfy? That deep longing you feel is a spiritual hunger, and Jesus knew you’d feel it. CMH 102.2

Some people have every material thing they could want in this life, but they’re still not happy. Why? Because God wired us to find true contentment only in a relationship with Him. Keep in mind that often this feeling of needing God takes time to discover. Let’s face it: when things are going good in our lives, the last thing we’re thinking about is what could be missing. And that’s the amazing part about God — He doesn’t force Himself on anyone. But knowing He’s the only One who can fill your heart’s needs, God sends reminders in different ways to get your attention. CMH 102.3

To experience an abiding relationship with God, ask the Holy Spirit to give you a hunger for His righteousness. This means seeking Him with your whole heart, mind, spirit, and soul. Go all in with Him — God cannot fully transform your life if you still crave the things of the world. The more you seek Him, the more fulfilled you’ll become - not with stuff, but with real joy, peace, and purpose.6 CMH 102.4

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:6 NIV CMH 102.5

“In sincerity, in soul hunger, cry after God.” Ellen White in Sons and Daughters of God , p. 105 CMH 102.6
