Counsel #27 — Never Alone
Picture: Counsel #27 — Never Alone CR 58.1
Feeling left out hurts. Whether you were excluded from a group chat, ignored in a conversation, or just feel invisible in your community or school, that ache of loneliness is real. The good news is you don’t have to carry it alone. Jesus understands more than anyone what it feels like to be rejected - He lived it. CR 58.2
Let that truth comfort you. Your worth isn’t based on who includes you, but on Who created you. Thank God for the people who have shown you love and kindness in the past - this helps keep your heart soft. Also, be open to God’s gentle correction. Ask Him if there’s anything you need to make right or apologize for. Most importantly, don’t get lost in the headspace of self-blame, or think something’s wrong with you. Being called apart to represent God’s kingdom in a world infested with sin sometimes means walking through things solo. At the end of the day, the quality of friends you have is far more important than the quantity. Always remember that God is your Friend and will be till the end of time.[58] Don’t forget it. CR 58.3
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18 NIV CR 58.4

Reflect: Do you base your identity on God’s truth or people’s company? CR 58.6
