Working with others opens opportunities for growth and creativity, allowing you to tackle challenges more effectively by combining diverse ideas and strengths. Additionally, collaboration teaches valuable life skills, including communication, adaptability, and conflict resolution. CR 19.2

For example, if you’re part of a club planning a fundraiser, collaborating means brainstorming creative ideas, dividing responsibilities, and supporting each other. One person might excel at organizing logistics, another at creating promotional materials, and someone else at managing the finances. Working together, the event becomes more successful than if one person tried to handle everything alone. Even the Bible highlights the benefits of working together, as God desires His people to combine their unique spiritual gifts to promote His love and mercy to the world. Collaborating will give you a deeper appreciation for others’ strengths, talents, and efforts, leading to an environment where all can grow and work better together.10 CR 19.3

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:” Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIV CR 19.4

“The proclamation of the gospel was to be world-wide in its extent, and the messengers of the cross could not hope to fulfill their important mission unless they should remain united in the bonds of Christian unity, and thus reveal to the world that they were one with Christ in God.” Ellen White in The Acts of the Apostles , p. 90 CR 19.5

Reflect: How can you be a better team player? CR 19.6
