Церкви, организованные пророками

Организация церкви в Иерусалиме служила образцом и для других мест, где вестники истины приводили людей к евангельской вере. Тем, на кого была возложена ответственность надзирать за церковью, следовало не господствовать над наследием Божьим, но как мудрым пастырям “пасти Божие стадо... подавая пример стаду” (1 Петра 5:2, 3); и дьяконы должны были быть честными людьми, исполненными Святого Духа и мудрости. Им надлежало вместе отстаивать правду, и отстаивать ее твердо и решительно, тем самым способствуя сплочению всего стада.⁴⁴⁰ СдЦ 245.2

Важное значение придавали апостолы порядку в общинах, способствующему духовному росту новообращенных. Во всех местах Ликаонии и Писидии, где были верующие, возникали стройные церкви. В каждой церкви были рукоположены служители, а для осуществления деятельности, способствующей духовному благополучию верующих, создавалась надлежащая организация. СдЦ 245.3

Это соответствовало евангельскому плану объединения в одном теле всех верующих во Христа, и этот план Павел последовательно проводил в жизнь на протяжении всего служения. Те, кто в результате его трудов принимали Христа как своего Спасителя, объединялись в церкви с четкой организацией даже в том случае, если верующих было немного. Таким образом, христиане учились помогать друг другу, помня обетование: “Где двое или трое собраны во имя Мое, там Я посреди них” (Матфея 18:20).⁴⁴¹ СдЦ 245.4

Churches Organized by the Prophets

The organization of the church at Jerusalem was to serve as a model for the organization of churches in every other place where messengers of truth should win converts to the gospel. Those to whom was given the responsibility of the general oversight of the church were not to lord it over God's heritage, but, as wise shepherds, were to “feed the flock of God, ... being ensamples to the flock,” 1 Peter 5:2, 3; and the deacons were to be “men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom.” These men were to take their position unitedly on the side of right and to maintain it with firmness and decision. Thus they would have a uniting influence upon the entire flock.⁴⁴⁰ CCh 245.2

As an important factor in the spiritual growth of the new converts the apostles were careful to surround them with the safeguards of gospel order. Churches were duly organized in all places in Lycaonia and Pisidia where there were believers. Officers were appointed in each church, and proper order and system were established for the conduct of all the affairs pertaining to the spiritual welfare of the believers. CCh 245.3

This was in harmony with the gospel plan of uniting in one body all believers in Christ, and this plan Paul was careful to follow throughout his ministry. Those who in any place were by his labor led to accept Christ as the Saviour were at the proper time organized into a church. Even when the believers were but few in number, this was done. The Christians were thus taught to help one another, remembering the promise, “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20.⁴⁴¹ CCh 245.4
