Ngasemuva kweveli lesibili kwakukhona ithente elibizwa ngokuthi yindawo engcwele ngcwele, eyayilomtshokotsho wesivumelwano obhadwe ngegolide inxa zonke, okwakukhona kuwo inqayi yegolide elemana phakathi, lenduku kaAroni eyahlumayo, lamatshe esivumelwano, phezu kwawo kwakukhona amakherubi enkazimulo engamele isihlalo somusa.” (Amahebheru 9:1-5). {GC 411.1} IEP 411.1
Ithempeli uPhawuli akhuluma ngalo lapha kwakulithente elalakhiwe nguMose ngemva kokutshelwa nguNkulunkulu elalizakuba yindawo kaJehova yokuhlala emhlabeni. “Abangenzele ithempeli, ukwenzela ukuthi ngihlale phakathi kwabo” (Exodusi 25:8), kwakungamazwi anikwa uMose nxa wayephezu kwentaba loNkulunkulu. Abantwana bakaIsrayeli babephakathi kohambo lwabo enkangala, njalo ithabanekeli lalakhiwe ngendlela yokuthi babelikhipha balithwale nxa babehamba, loba nje kwakuyisakhiwo esasibaluleke kakhulu. Imiduli yaso yayakhiwe ngamaplanka amileyo ayebhadwe ngegolide, uphahla lona lwalwenziwe ngamakhetheni, eyelemfanekiso yamakherubi emihle. Ngemva kokwakha kwabantwana baka iSrayeli elizweni laseKhenani, indawo yethabanekeli yathathwa yithempeli likaSolomoni, loba nje lona kwasekuyisakhiwo esingasuphunekiyo, ukwakhiwa kwaso kwakufanana lethabanekeli lakuqala. Ithempeli lahlala linje izikhathi zonke ngaphandle kwesikhathi lapho eladilizwe khona ngesikhathi sikaDanyeli, kwazekwayafika isikhathi lapho elabhidlizwa khona ngamabutho eRoma ngomnyaka ka A.D 70. {GC 412.3} IEP 412.3
Leli yilo lodwa ithempeli elake labakhona emhlabeni elichazwe ngokupheleleyo eBhayibhilini. Leli yilo elachazwa nguPhawuli njengethempeli lesivumelwano sakuqala. Kodwa isivumelwano esitsha asilathempeli na? {GC 412.4} IEP 412.4
Bathi bekhangela encwadini kamaHeberu futhi, abantu laba ababedinga iqiniso bathola ukuthi kwakulethempeli lesibili kumbe ithabanekeli lesivumelwano esitsha, elalichazwe emazwini kaPhawuli ababewafundile: “Lesivumelwano sokuqala laso sasilezimiso zenkonzo, njalo lethempeli lasemhlabeni.” (Amahebheru 9:1). Njalo ukusetshenziswa kwebala elithi “laso” kutshengisa ukuthi uPhawuli sekewakhuluma ngalo leli thempeli kwenye indawo. Bathi bebuyela esahlukweni esisemuva babala ukuthi: “Isiqokoqela salokho esikutshoyo yilesi; silaye umpristi omkhulu onjalo osewahlala ngakwesokunene sesihlalo sobukhosi soMkhulu sezulwini, isisebenzi sethempeli, lesethabanekeli eliqotho, elamiswa yiNkosi hatshi ngumuntu.” (Amahebheru 8:1,2). {GC 413.1} IEP 413.1
Lapha kuvezwe ithempeli lesivumelwano esitsha. Ithempeli lesivumelwano sakuqala lalimiswe ngabantu, lalakhiwe nguMose, leli lona limiswe yiNkosi, hatshi ngumuntu. Ethempelini leli abapristi basemhlabeni benza imisebenzi yabo, kuloleli uKrestu, uMpristi wethu oMkhulu, uyasebenza ngasesandleni sokudla sikaNkulunkulu. Ithempeli elilodwa lalisemhlabeni, elinye lisezulwini. {GC 413.2} IEP 413.2
Okunye njalo yikuthi, ithabanekeli elakhiwa nguMose lalenziwe ngendlela uMose ayeyibonisiwe. INkosi yamtshela yathi: “Ngakho yenzani lindlu lempahla yayo yonke njengesifanekiso engikutshengise sona.” (Eksodusi 25:9). Waphinda waphiwa njalo amanye amazwi: “Nanzelela ukuthi uzenze zibe njengesifanekiso sazo owatshengiswa sona entabeni.” (Eksodusi 25:40). Njalo uPhawuli uthi ithabanekeli lakuqala “lalingumfanekiso waleso sikhathi, lapho okwakunikelwa izipho leminikelo,” lokuthi izindlu zalo ezingcwele “zazingumfanekiso wezinto ezisezulwini;’ lokuthi abapristi ababenikela izipho ngokomthetho babelandela “isibonelo njalo lesithunzi salokho okwenzeka ezulwini,” njalo lokuthi “uKrestu kangenanga endaweni engcwele eyenzwe ngezandla, ezingumfanekiso waleyo eqotho, kodwa ungene ezulwini uqobo lwalo, ukuthi asimele phambi kaNkulunkulu.” (Amahebheru 9:9, 23; 8:5; 9:24). {GC 413.3} IEP 413.3
Ithempeli elisezulwini lapho uJesu asebenza khona endaweni yethu, yilo elalikhona kusukela ekuqaleni, njalo leli elakhiwa nguMose lalingumfanekiso walo. UNkulunkulu wafaka uMoya wakhe kulabo ababesakha ithempeli lasemhlabeni. Ubungcitshi obaboniswa ekwakhiweni kwalo kwakuyikuboniswa kokuhlakanipha okuvela ezulwini. Imiduli yalo yayibhadwe ngegolide, njalo yayibonisa ukukhanya kwezibane endaweni zonke. Itafula lesinkwa njalo lelathi lempepha kwakukhazimula njengegolide. Ikhetheni elalisephahleni lalikhazimula, lilemfanekiso yengilosi kusetshenziswe umbala oluhlaza okwesibhakabhaka (blue), loyibubende, lobomvu okwenza ukuthi libe lihle kakhulu. Indawo yokuhlala yeNkosi yamaKhosi, lapho inkulungwane zengilosi ezikhonza phambi kwakhe njalo lezinkulungwane zezinkulungwane ezihleli zimi phambi kwakhe (Danyeli 7:10); ithempeli leli, eligcwele inkazimulo yesihlalo sobukhosi, lapho okulama serafimu, abalindi balo abakhazimulayo, abahlala bevale ubuso babo ngenxa yokuhlonipha kwabo, kuyisimanga ukuthi esakhiweni esihle okwedlula zonke esezike zakhiwa emhlabeni kibo kwakungumfanekiso nje wenkazimulo yethempeli elisezulwini. Indawo ezingcwele ezazisethempelini lasezulwini zimelwe yizindlu ezimbili ezazitholakala ethempelini lasemhlabeni. Njengasembonweni umpostoli uJohane waboniswa ithempeli likaNkulunkulu ezulwini, wabona lapho “izibane eziyisikhombisa ezazibhebha phambi kwesihlalo sobukhosi.” (Isambulo 4:5). Wabona ingilosi “ithwele umganu wegolide wokutshisela impepha, yanikwa impepha enengi ukuba iyinikele kanye lemikhuleko yabo bonke abangcwele phezu kwelathi legolide eliphambi kwesihlalo sobukhosi.” (Isambulo 8:3). Lapha umprofethi wanikwa ithuba lokukhangela indlu yokuqala yethempeli elisezulwini, njalo wabona kilo “izibane eziyikhombisa zomlilo” njalo “lelathi legolide” elalimelwe yizibane zegolide njalo lelathi lokutshisa impepha ethempelini lasemhlabeni. Futhi, “ithempeli likaNkulunkulu lavulwa” (Isambulo 11:19), njalo wakhangela phakathi kweveyili, wabona indawo engcwele ngcwele. Phakathi kwethempeli lasezulwini, eliyindawo kaNkulunkulu yokuhlala, isihlalo sakhe sakhiwe phezu kokulunga njalo lokwahlulela. Endaweni engcwele ngcwele kulomthetho wakhe ongcwele, oyiwo umgomo wokulunga osetshenziswa ukuhlola wonke umuntu. Umtshokotsho oyiwo ovalele umthetho lowu uvalwe ngesihlalo somusa, phambi kwalapho uKrestu asincengela ngegazi lakhe. Ngale indlela kuvezwe ukuhlangana komusa njalo lokulunga ecebeni lokuhlengwa kwabantu. Ukuhlangana lokhu kwakungasungulwa kuphela yikuhlakanipha kukaNkulunkulu njalo kwakungafezwa kuphela ngamandla kaNkulunkulu, lokhu kuyikubambana okumangalisa izulu lonke. Amakherubi ayesethempelini lasemhlabeni, ayekhangele ngokuzotha esihlalweni somusa, amele indlela ingilosi zezulu ezikhangele ngayo njalo ezicabanga ngayo ngecebo lokusindiswa komuntu. Lokhu kuyimfihlo yomusa ingilosi ezihlala zifuna ukukhangela kuyo, ukuthi uNkulunkulu engaba elungile ngesikhathi esifanayo ekhangela isoni esivuma izono zaso njengomuntu olungileyo phambi kwezulu njalo avuselele ubudlelwano bakhe lezoni, lokuthi uKrestu wayengazehlisa kangaka ukuthi aphakamise ixuku elingela kubalwa ekufeni okunaphakade, njalo abagqokise ngezembatho ezingela sici ezokulunga kwakhe ukuba bahlanganyele lengilosi ezingazenge zone lokuthi bahlale inaphakade phambi kaNkulukulu. {GC 415.2} IEP 415.2
Umsebenzi kaKrestu njengomeli wabantu uvezwe kuhle encwadini kaZekariya “olegama lakhe okuthiwa nguHlumela.” Umprofethi uthi: “Nguye ozakwakha ithempeli leNkosi, abe lobukhosi, uzahlala esihlalweni sobukhosi, abuse. Kuzakuba khona umpristi ngakwesokunene sakhe, bazakuzwana bobabili.” (Zekariya 6:12, 13). {GC 415.3} IEP 415.3
“Uzakwakha ithempeli leNkosi.” Ngenxa yomnikelo wakhe njalo lomsebenzi wakhe wokusincengela uKrestu uyinsika njalo lomakhi webandla likaNkulunkulu. Umpostoli uPhawuli umchaza “njengelitshe lengonsi, okuhlanganiselwe kuye isakhiwo sonke, sikhule sibe lithempeli elingcwele eNkosini. Lani futhi lakhelwa ndawonye kuye ukuze libe yindawo yokuhlala uNkulunkulu ahlala kuyo ngoMoya wakhe.” (Efesu 2:20-22). {GC 416.1} IEP 416.1
“Uzakuthwala ubukhosi.” Ubukhosi bonke bokuhlenga inzalo eyawayo bungobuka Krestu. Phakathi kwesikhathi esingela mkhawulo, ingoma yabahlengiweyo izakuba yile ethi: “Kuye osithandayo lowasikhulula ezonweni zethu ngegazi lakhe...kakube kuye ubukhosi lamandla kuze kube ninini. Amen.” (Isambulo 1:5,6). {GC 416.2} IEP 416.2
“Uzakuhlala njalo abuse esihlalweni sakhe, njalo uzakuba ngumpristi esihlalweni sakhe.” Hatshi manje “esihlalweni sobukhosi bakhe;” umbuso wobukhosi awukabi khona manje. Kuphela nxa umsebenzi wakhe wokuncengela usuphelile uNkulunkulu “uzamnika isihlalo sikayise uDavida,” umbuso ongasoke “ubelomkhawulo.” (Luka 1:32,33). Njengompristi, uKrestu manje uhleli loBaba esihlalweni sakhe. (Isambulo 3:21). Esihlalweni sobukhosi loSimakade, kukhona lowo “owathwala insizi zethu, njalo wathwala inhlupho zethu,” yena “owalingwa njengathi, kodwa ongelasono,” ukwenzela ukuthi “enelise ukuqinisa labo abasezilingweni.” “Nxa kukhona owonayo, silomeli phambi kaBaba.” (Isaya 53:4; Amahebheru 4:15; 2:18; 1 Johane 2:1). Ukuncengela kwakhe yilokho okomzimba owagwazwayo njalo wephulwa, njalo okwempilo emsulwa. Izandla ezalinyazwayo. “Njalo ukubambana ngokuthula kuzakuba phakathi kwabo bobabili.” Uthando lukaBaba, ngokulingana lolweNdodana, lungumthombo wosindiso lwenzalo elahlekileyo. UJesu wathi kubafundi bakhe ngaphambi kokuhamba kwakhe: “Kangitsho kini ukuthi ngizalicelela mina kuBaba, ngoba uBaba uqobo uyalithanda.” (Johane 16:26,27). UNkulunkulu “wayekuKrestu, ebuyisana lomhlaba.” (2 Korinte 5:19). Njalo lasemsebenzini wakhe ethempelini lasezulwini, “ukubambana kokuthula kuzabaphakathi kwabo bobabili.” “UNkulunkulu walithanda ilizwe kangaka, waze wakhetha ukunikela ngeNdodana yakhe eyodwa, ukuthi ilowo lalowo okholwa kuye angabhubhi kodwa abelempilo enaphakade.” (Johane 3:16). {GC 416.4} IEP 416.4
Umbuzo wokuthi, “Liyini ithempeli? Uphendulwe sobala eBhayibhilini. Ibizo elithi “ithempeli,” ngendlela elisetshenziswe ngayo eBhayibhilini, lichaza ngokwakuqala ithabanekeli elakhiwa nguMose, njengomfanekiso walelo elisezulwini; njalo ngokwesibili, lichaza “ithabanekeli leqiniso” elisezulwini, elalimelwe yithempeli lasemhlabeni. Ekufeni kukaKrestu inkonzo zonke ezaziyisithunzi sokufa kwakhe zaphela. “Ithabanekeli leqiniso” elisezulwini lilithempeli lesivumelwano esitsha. Ukuhlanjululwa, enkonzweni eyayiyisithunzi lasenkonzweni yeqiniso, kumele kwenziwe ngegazi: enkonzweni yakuqala ngegazi lenyamazana, enkonzweni yeqiniso, ngegazi likaKrestu. Ngokunikela igazi isoni sasivuma amandla womthetho, njalo wayevuma icala lakhe, njalo wayebonisa isifiso sokuthethelelwa ngokukholwa kuMsindisi owayezakuza, kodwa wayengakakhululwa ngokupheleleyo esigwebeni esilethwa ngumthetho. Ngosuku Lokubuyisana umpristi omkhulu, ngemva kokwenza umnikelo webandla lonke, wayehamba endaweni engcwele ngcwele, ethwele igazi lomnikelo lowu, alichele phezu kwesihlalo somusa, phezu kwalapho okwakulomthetho khona, ukwenzela ukuthi asuthise lokho okutshiwo ngumthetho. Ngemva kwalokho emsebenzini wakhe wokuba ngumeli, wayethatha izono emzimbeni wakhe aphume lazo ethempelini. Wayefika abeke izandla zakhe ekhanda lembuzi kaAzazeli, avume phezu kwayo izono zonke lezi, ngakho ngomfanekiso wayezisusa kuye ezisa embuzini leyi. Okweminyaka engamakhulu alitshumi lesitshiyagalo mbili umsebenzi lowu waqhubeka endaweni engcwele usenziwa nguKrestu ethempelini lasezulwini. Igazi likaKrestu lalincengela izoni ezazivuma izono zazo, njalo lathola intethelelo njalo lokwamukelwa ngubaba, kodwa loba kunjalo izono zabo zazilokhe ziphakathi kwamabhuku wasezulwini. Njengasenkonzweni eyayingumfanekiso lesithunzi saleyo eyeqiniso, kwakulomsebenzi wokubuyisana ekupheleni komnyaka, ngokunjalo umsebenzi kaKrestu wokuhlenga abantu ungakapheleliswa, kulomsebenzi wokubuyisana ukwenzela ukuthi izono zisuswe ethempelini. Njalo njengoba ukuhlanjululwa kwethempeli endulo kwakusenziwa ngokususwa kwezono ezazilingcolisile, ngokunjalo ukuhlanjululwa kweqiniso kwethempeli lasezulwini kuzakwenzakala ngokukhitshwa, kumbe ukucitshwa, kwezono zonke ezibhalwe lapho. Kodwa lokhu kungakayenzakali, kumele kube lokucubungulwa kwamabhuku, ukwenzela ukuthi kwazakale ukuthi ngobani ngenxa yokuvuma izono lokukholwa kuKrestu, abafanele ukuthola isipho somnikelo wakhe. Ngokunjalo ukuhlanjululwa kwethempeli kugoqela umsebenzi wokuphenya, lomsebenzi wokwahlulela. Umsebenzi lowu kumele wenzakale ngaphambi kokuza kukaKrestu ezohlenga abantu bakhe, ngoba nxa esiza, umvuzo wakhe ulawo, owokunika wonke umuntu ngemisebenzi yakhe.
