Minutes of Educational Council Held February 9, 1908.

The following recommendations were carried: LLM 350.10

Doctor John to be invited to Fernando immediately. LLM 350.11

Doctor Leadsworth to connect with Loma Linda. LLM 350.12

Doctor Thompson to connect with Loma Linda. LLM 350.13

Brother Burden and Brother Wessels to arrange to secure another doctor for Los Angeles. LLM 350.14

It was moved to ask the privilege of soliciting funds through the Review & Herald. LLM 350.15

It was moved that Elders Burden and Reaser present to Sister White the matter of her assisting in raising funds for Loma Linda. LLM 350.16

It was voted that we ask Brother Walter Harper to interest himself and others in the sale of Ministry for the aid of the Medical School. LLM 350.17

It was voted that Brethren Burden, Reaser, Ballenger, Owen, W. C. White, Haskell, and Cottrell act as a committee for raising funds for the Medical School. LLM 350.18

It was voted that Brother Nelson be invited to solicit funds in Redlands for the Medical School. LLM 350.19

It was voted that, as soon as we hear from Sister White favoring the school, we get out a small pamphlet setting forth the objects of the school to get into the hands of the people. LLM 350.20

It was voted that it is the sense of this council that (626) the committees appointed above select a financial agent to solicit the fifteen thousand dollars required, and that his wages be paid out of this fund. LLM 350.21

It was moved that the board proceed with the building as fast as funds come in, but no faster—Lucas and Ballenger against. LLM 350.22

It was recommended to the Loma Linda Board to elect a board of fifteen members for the Evangelistic Medical College. LLM 350.23

It was voted that the name of the school be Loma Linda Medical Missionary College. Adjourned to 7:30. LLM 351.4
