We might rescue someone out of a sense of obligation, for reward, or some self-serving purpose. Not so with God. His sole motivation is love for us. The depth of that love we may never fully understand. He longs for our companionship and gratitude in this life, and to be with us as a family throughout eternity. JTLD 37.2
