Counsel #14 — Unity In The Body Of Christ

Picture: Counsel #14 — Unity In The Body Of Christ CCL 24.1

The church is like a single, strong body made up of many diverse members. We come from all walks of life — every race, culture, background, and language. In Christ, we're a whole new creation! Differences in ethnicity, education, social status, wealth, gender — none of it should divide us. We're all on the same team in Christ. He's brought us together through the Holy Spirit, forming a deep connection with Him and with each other. We're called to serve one another, no strings attached. The Bible, inspired by Jesus, gives us a shared faith and hope. Together, we stand united, reaching out to all with Jesus’ gospel message. This unity in diversity comes from the very core of God — the three-in-one who has chosen us as His beloved children.[31] CCL 24.2

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.” John 17:11 NKJV CCL 24.3

“At the feet of Jesus, earthly dignity and display are forgotten. Rich and poor, the educated and the ignorant meet together as blood-bought souls, with no thought of social levels or worldly superiority.” Ellen White in Humble Hero, p. 203 CCL 24.4

Reflect: Consider a situation where you might have unintentionally contributed to a division within the church. How can you approach such situations differently moving forward? CCL 24.5
