The Bible authors tell us plainly that God is the real Author of the Scriptures and that we can know Him because He has revealed Himself in His word (see 2 Peter 1:21; 3:15; John 4:22). It is because humanity has not known God that many worship false gods and interests. Worship is not to be routine, forced, or unintelligent. When we know God well, we worship Him because we’ve learned to love, trust, and respect Him.^[164] CCW 107.2

“Continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:14, 15 NKJV CCW 107.3
