God has the power to perform miracles (acts employing supernatural power) and Satan can also perform miracles (see Revelation 16:14).^[69] CSe 68.2

“Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. “The man who makes the working of miracles the test of his faith will find that Satan can, through a species of deceptions, perform wonders that will appear to be genuine miracles…. Some will be tempted to receive these wonders as from God. The sick will be healed before us. Miracles will be performed in our sight.
