Universal Health Care (UHC) is designed to ensure that everyone has access to quality health care, regardless of their income, social standing, or insurance status. Many countries provide some type of free or nearly free medical care for all their citizens. UHC is a complex, frequently politicized issue, with a wide range of social implications. CSI 132.2

Of course, there are many ways to implement universal health care. Some people believe that it should be a government-run program, while others believe that it should be a private system with government subsidies. The important thing is that God cares about the poor and the sick, and we should follow His example of compassion, justice, and mercy. CSI 132.3

“We are all woven together in the great web of humanity, and whatever we can do to benefit and uplift others will reflect blessings back to us.” Ellen White in A Call to Stand Apart,[183] p. 95 CSI 132.5
