As Christians, we believe that all institutions, from corporations and governments to churches and families, operate under the watchful eye of God and must be held accountable for their actions. This accountability is not merely a matter of legal compliance, but a moral imperative rooted in our understanding of God's character and His call for justice. CSI 124.2
The Bible offers a rich tapestry of teachings on the importance of accountability and responsibility. The prophets of Israel relentlessly condemned corruption and injustice, calling for a return to righteousness and ethical conduct. CSI 124.3
Today, institutions should ensure that all individuals are treated with justice and fairness, regardless of their background, race, status, or beliefs. Institutions need to openly share information and allow for public scrutiny of their decisions and actions. This transparency lets stakeholders hold institutions accountable and helps to prevent corruption and abuse of power.[174] CSI 124.4
