Counsel #11 — The All-In Approach

Living as a follower of Christ calls for embracing social justice with an all-in approach as an integral part of your faith journey. It's not merely a checklist of obligations but a whole-hearted commitment to embodying Christ's love and compassion in your interactions with others. Since Christ calls for your whole heart, any Christian involved in social justice should be driven by love and purpose, understanding the transformative power of their work. Micah 6:8 calls us to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God," and James 2:14-17 emphasizes the importance of pairing faith with action. In aligning our hearts with God's, we discover that our efforts are not burdensome tasks but noble endeavors that reflect God's kingdom values of love, compassion, and equity.[29] CSI 13.2
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Colossians 3:23 NIV CSI 13.3
“A sullen submission to the will of the Father will develop the character of a rebel. By such a one service is looked upon as drudgery. It is not rendered cheerfully and in love of God. It is a mere mechanical performance…. Such service brings no peace or quietude to the soul.” Ellen White in The Signs of Times, July 22, 1897, par. 11 CSI 13.4
