Dominion does not mean having unchecked consumption! We are called to be stewards, managing creation wisely. The timeless mantra of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle embodies this responsibility. CSI 102.2

By minimizing our consumption, we can avoid unnecessary waste in the first place. It's not about deprivation, but about mindful consumption that avoids excess. CSI 102.3

Finding creative ways to reuse items honors God's resourcefulness. Just as Jesus instructed His disciples to gather the fragments after the feeding of the five thousand "so that nothing is lost,"^[151] we can extend the life of objects, reducing our reliance on constant production. Actively recycling allows us to participate in the transformation of materials, giving them new purpose and minimizing what ends up in landfills. This reflects God's ability to make all things new.^[152] CSI 102.4

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is more than just an environmental slogan; it's a way for Christians to actively reflect God's character as wise managers and resourceful creators, honoring the gift of His creation.^[153] CSI 102.5
