Social media can be addictive and damaging to mental, emotional, and spiritual health. It can be used to spread misinformation and propaganda, which can have a negative impact on public dialog and democracy. Social media often promotes and glorifies the very sins that nailed Jesus to the cross. CLi 13.2

Social media can be used to harass people, which can have a devastating impact on the victim's mental health and self-esteem. It can also lead to social isolation, as people spend more time interacting with others online than in person.[10] CLi 13.3

Privacy can also be compromised through social media collecting a vast amount of data about their users, which can be used for targeted advertising, surveillance, and manipulation. CLi 13.4

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 CLi 13.5

“Those who would not fall a prey to Satan’s devices must guard well the avenues of the soul: they must avoid reading, seeing, or hearing that which will suggest impure thoughts…. You will have to become a faithful sentinel over your eyes, ears, and all your senses, if you would control your mind and prevent vain and corrupt thoughts from staining your soul.” Ellen White in My Life Today, p. 85 CLi 13.6
