We often hear about "claiming God’s promises," but what does that truly look like in our everyday hustle? It’s about anchoring our hearts in the character of God, believing that He is faithful to His word. CWe 28.2
When we face a daunting challenge, whether it’s a nation in change, a financial burden, a relationship struggle, or a health crisis, we can choose to remember the promises He’s given us—promises of provision, comfort, and strength. By actively choosing to believe these promises, even when our circumstances scream otherwise, we’re essentially glorifying God by acknowledging His sovereignty and trustworthiness. This act of faith, this claiming of His promises, is not a one-time event; it’s a continuous, intentional practice. And just like any muscle, our trust in God strengthens with exercise. Each time we encounter a hardship, or a crisis and we choose to step out in faith, witnessing to and acknowledging His goodness in our lives, our trust deepens.[31] CWe 28.3
“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Romans 4:20, 21 NKJV CWe 28.4
We should grow daily in faith in order that we may grow up to the full measure of the spiritual stature in Christ Jesus.... We are not to believe because we feel or see that God hears us. We are to trust to the promise of God.” Ellen White in That I May Know Him, p. 230 CWe 28.5
