Managing time effectively and having a routine can help create a productive and peaceful living environment. Not only does having a structured routine reduce stress, but it also increases efficiency and enables important tasks being completed without last-minute, unexpected chaos. CWe 251.2
When everyone in the home follows a cooperative schedule, daily life runs a lot more smoothly. For example, having a routine in place for kids to follow regarding chores, mealtimes, bedtime, and schoolwork provides stability and discipline. Making a habit of these responsibilities helps prevent procrastination and allows the family to enjoy more time together. Spiritually, God desires us to be good stewards of our time and make wise choices when it comes to how we schedule our day. Coming up with a routine may be tedious at first, but staying intentional and consistent, you’ll find that managing your time effectively will lead to a more balanced, stress-free living environment.[285] CWe 251.3
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15, 16 NIV CWe 251.4
“It is the duty of every Christian to acquire habits of order, thoroughness, and dispatch…” Ellen White in Christian Service , p. 237 CWe 251.5
