Family worship time is essential for building a strong, faith-filled home. A busy work or school schedule can easily distract us from prioritizing worship within our routines, but setting aside time for worship can strengthen your family’s bond in ways you never thought possible. CWe 248.2

God loves when families come together to seek Him because it shows that there is a collective desire to gain a deeper understanding of His word and Who He is. If you’re struggling with finding ways to incorporate God into your family life, start small. For example, during prayer before dinner time, add an applicable Bible verse in the conversation and allow the topic for that night’s meal to revolve around God. When you’re putting your kids to bed, read a Bible story to them and encourage them to come up with their own prayer to God, guiding them accordingly. You can also designate a “family game night” filled with Bible trivia, singing and worship, and other Scripture memorization games. This way, the family will stay expectant regarding worship and spending time with the Lord. Always remember that when God is the foundation, all members of the home will intentionally stay committed to His purpose.[281] CWe 248.3

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2 NIV CWe 248.4

“Fathers and mothers, however pressing your business, do not fail to gather your family around God’s altar.” Ellen White in Child Guidance, p. 520 CWe 248.5
