Regularly eating between meals can lead to weight gain, overeating, and severe digestive issues. Some people think that frequent snacking will help get them through the day, especially if they’re too busy to eat a full meal, but this is not necessarily true. CWe 129.2
Whenever our bodies go too long without food, our blood sugars drop, leading to irritability, weakness, and a craving for sugary, highly processed foods. If you work a busy daily schedule and don’t have time to eat full, nourishing meals, you can find yourself reaching for unhealthy snacks that spike your blood pressure and create bad eating patterns. Additionally, constantly eating throughout the day prevents the body from metabolizing and digesting food properly, leading to indigestion, constipation, and possible insulin resistance over time. Just as God expects us to have self-control over our finances, He too expects us to be mindful stewards of how much we eat each day. If you eat two or three healthy meals daily, there is no need for constant snacking. Be intentional about fueling your body with wholesome meals at the right times each day to feel balanced and energized, ensuring the embodiment of self-control.[165] CWe 129.3
