What is our greatest need, the one thing more than all others for which we should pray? When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them to pray He gave them a teaching lecture on prayer, concluding with “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:13 NKJV CSL 41.2

Asking for the Spirit is not a one-time event. If we ask for a renewal of that Gift every day, what a difference He will make in our lives!^[37] CSL 41.3

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 NKJV CSL 41.4

“Why don’t we hunger and thirst for the Spirit? The Lord is more willing to give the Spirit than parents are to give good gifts to their children. Every worker should be asking God for the daily baptism of the Spirit….
