Because God is love, He gives His creation the choice to obey Him—the life Giver, or to follow Satan—chief thief and murderer (John 10:10). Don’t let your lifestyle or unbelief tie God’s hands so that He cannot do for you what He longs to accomplish. Don’t wait to make yourself “good enough” before you come to Him (John 6:37)! Ask Him to help you overcome sin and believe He will! CSL 40.2

Trust God to answer your prayers for your ultimate good.^[36] Open your heart to the influence of the Spirit. He wants to give you the desires of your heart if it will make you happy and holy (which only God knows.) CSL 40.3

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 NKJV CSL 40.4

“If we regard iniquity in our hearts, if we cling to any known sin, the Lord will not hear us; but the prayer of the penitent, contrite soul is always accepted. When all known wrongs are righted, we may believe that God will answer our petitions. Our own merit will never commend us to the favor of God; it is the worthiness of Jesus that will save us, His blood that will cleanse us; yet we have a work to do in complying with the conditions of acceptance.” Ellen White in Prayer, p. 101 CSL 40.5
