Life can get crazy hectic. With school, work, relationships, and other responsibilities like bills, it can be easy to let time with God slip to the bottom of the priority list. But what if spending time with Jesus wasn’t just another task, but the one thing that made everything else fall into place? CMH 106.2
Consider this: Jesus left the peace and perfection of heaven to die on a cross—just for you. When you begin to grasp the depth of His physical suffering—brutal beatings, nails hammered through His flesh—and the humiliation of being mocked, it becomes easier to understand His immeasurable love for you. And that love draws you into a deeper and more personal relationship with Him. CMH 106.3
Here’s the amazing part: When you prioritize your relationship with Jesus, He faithfully takes care of everything else in your life! CMH 106.4
Spending time with God also transforms your perspective. The more you know Him, the more heaven feels like home—and the less this world’s trials impact your emotions or decisions. Alone time with Jesus isn’t a duty; it’s preparation for eternity with Him! And best of all, it’s the key to experiencing true peace right now.10 CMH 106.5
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 NIV CMH 106.6
“But too often Christians allow the cares of life to take the time that belongs to God.” Ellen White in To Be Like Jesus, p. 182 CMH 106.7
Reflect: Are you putting God first, or fitting Him in last, if “there’s time”? CMH 106.8
