Counsel #10 — Socialization Opportunities

Picture: Counsel #10 — Socialization Opportunities CR 41.1

If you’re looking for a way to connect with others, grow in your faith, and make a difference, think about how powerful it is to socialize while serving. Hanging out doesn’t have to mean sitting around or spending money. It can also mean joining with others to do mission work in your community![40] CR 41.2

Whether it’s giving Bible studies, handing out encouraging gospel tracts, tutoring younger students, visiting someone in the hospital, or helping elderly neighbors, these moments do more than just “fill your time”—they shape your heart and reflect Jesus to the world around you. Serving together builds real relationships; It gives you a chance to bond with people who share your values and want to live with purpose. You’ll laugh together, pray together, and sometimes even cry together, but through it all, you’ll grow in faith and in friendship. Programs like Pathfinders—whether you’re involved as a participant or as a leader—can also give you the chance to serve, lead, and have fun in a Christ-centered way. Overall, mission work doesn’t just bless others; It changes you too, from the inside out. CR 41.3

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…” Hebrews 10:24 NIV CR 41.4

“True, unselfish, consecrated workers gladly use their highest gifts in the lowliest service.” Ellen White in To Be Like Jesus, p. 72 CR 41.5
