In today’s dating scene, culture will tell you that love is just about how someone treats you, but this is not necessarily true. Real love shows up in the choices people make when no one’s watching. CR 159.2

If someone is constantly filling their mind with pornography, TV shows that glorify sex outside of marriage, violence, or language that demeans - it matters![166] Not because anyone’s expected to be perfect, but because what we consume shapes who we become. For anyone desiring to be in happy and healthy relationship, you must choose a partner that values God’s viewpoint. As our Creator, He desires for us to be with someone who intentionally guards their mind, standing firm against the wiles of the devil. Someone who’s serious about love will be serious about purity and respect, which can’t be found while binge watching lustful content on a screen. While looking for “Mr. or Miss Right,” remember that whatever harmful choices fill someone’s private life, they will eventually spill into your life as well, negatively affecting any godly future together. Purity is not a joke, and a romantic relationship is not something you want to be cheapened by what the world calls normal. Waiting for the kind of love God wants for you isn’t easy, but it’s always worth the wait. CR 159.3
