According to the dictionary, integrity is “rigid adherence to a code of behavior” or “the state of being unimpaired; soundness.” Synonyms of the word integrity are uprightness and honesty. GP 81.1

Bible-believing Christians hardly ever question the integrity of the biblical prophets, but what about the integrity of modern prophets—specifically, the integrity of Ellen White? Critics inside and outside of the church have written articles and books disputing her prophetic ministry and casting doubt on her integrity. Some of these challenges have been answered in other places in this book. In this chapter, we will touch on two commonly cited criticisms of her writings—the “shut-door” question and the issue of plagiarism. GP 81.2
