“The Trump of God”
To announce the presence of God upon Sinai, in royal state, “the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder.” 2 So Christ’s second coming will be proclaimed by “the trump of God.” “For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed,” for “He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds.” 3 EVCO 285.2
