Dear Sister:
I wish I could come to Dakota; I would be pleased to see our people there. But this does not seem to be possible. 23LtMs, Lt 100, 1908, par. 1
I am desirous of obtaining money; and I will come right to the point by asking you if you can loan me some at interest. I am greatly in need of means at this time and would be glad if you would let me have five hundred or one thousand dollars until the books that are now being prepared for the press are ready for publication. 23LtMs, Lt 100, 1908, par. 2
I see a great work to be done, and I greatly desire to see this work accomplished quickly. There are earnest efforts to be put forth in the cities that have not yet been entered with the message of present truth. To carry this work, as God intends it shall be done, will call for earnest prayers and faithful efforts on the part of our people. I want to do my part in getting before the people the books containing the messages God is sending to the world. If I secure the means needed at this time, the work can go forward. I shall be very thankful if you can do me this favor that I ask. 23LtMs, Lt 100, 1908, par. 3
With this I send you a copy of my letter to Brother Terwilliger. 23LtMs, Lt 100, 1908, par. 4
