There is no more fitting time for God’s people to meet together and show their appreciation of God’s goodness to them, in thanksgiving and praise, and by offerings, than when the world is feasting and carousing. As we near the end, seasons of fasting and prayer will be more frequent than in the past, for the path to glory is further and further from the world.
