UNkulunkulu wayedale intaba wazenza zabalamandla, asikho isandla ngaphandle kwesakhe esasingenelisa ukuzisusa endaweni zazo. Phambi kwabo kwakulempilo yokuzinikela lobunzima, kwesinye isikhathi yayisiba ngeyokufela iqiniso. Babefundiswa kusukela ebuntwaneni ukumelana lobunzima, lokulalela, lokuzimela njalo lokwenelisa ukwenza izinqumo bebodwa. Bananzelela ukuthi uNkulunkulu wayefuna ukuthi benze okwedlula umsebenzi wokuvikela iqiniso lemfundiso eqotho emabandleni abo kuphela, kwakufanele babeyizibane ezikhanyayo kulabo ababehlangana labo ababesemnyameni, ngamandla kaNkulunkulu baqamule amajogwe obunyama ayefakwe libandla leRoma. AmaWaldensi ayefisa ukufinyelela abantu laba ababelangazelela isinkwa sokuphila, lokubavulela indaba zokuthula ezitholakala ezithembisweni zikaNkulunkulu, lokubakhomba kuKresu njengethemba labo elilodwa losindiso. Imfundiso yokuthi imisebenzi emihle yenyama iyamenza abe ngolungileyo umuntu ngemva kokwephula umthetho kaNkulunkulu yayakhiwe phezu kwemfundiso yamanga. Imizamo yokweyama emisebenzini yenyama yenza ukuthi abantu bakhohlwe uthando lukaKrestu lokuzidela kwakhe. UJesu wafa njengomnikelo wabantu ngoba izoni ngeke zamukelwe phambi kaBaba ngenxa yemisebenzi yazo. Imisebenzi emihle eyenziwa nguMsindisi owafayo njalo wabuya wavuka iyinsika yenkolo yesiKrestu. UMsindisi wavezwa phambi kwabantu sengathi wayengelasihawu ebantwini, ngalesosizatho bafundisa ukuthi kwakudingeka ukuthi abapristi bahlale bebancengela phambi kwakhe. Labo abasebethole ukukhanya enqondweni zabo bafisa ukuthi bathungamele abanye kuJesu owayenguMsindisi wabo olozwelo njalo lothando, owayehleli evule izandla, emelele ukwamukela bonke abavuma ubizo lwakhe, abasindwayo njalo labakhatheleyo. Balangazelela ukususa imigoqo eyayifakwe nguSathane eyayivimbela abantu ukuthi beze phambi kaNkulunkulu, bavume izono zabo njalo bathole ukuthethelelwa lokuthula emoyeni wabo. {GC 73.2} IEP 73.2
Abavangeli bamaWaldensi benza yonke imizamo yokuveza amaqiniso evangeli kulabo ababevula ingqondo zabo befuna ukwazi iqiniso. Ngokunanzelela okukhulu babekhipha iBhayibhili ezigqokweni zabo. Kwakuletha intokozo enkulu emoyeni wabo nxa babenika ithemba kulabo ababefundiswe ukukhangela uNkulunkulu ngelihlo lalowo ohlala efuna ukujezisa lokuphindisela. Ngokuqhaqhazela langokuhlengezela kwenyembezi, esikhathini esinengi eguqe ngamadolo, umvangeli wayevula phambi kwabazalwane bakhe izithembiso eziveza ithemba lezoni elilodwa. Ngale indlela ukukhanya kweqiniso kwangena engqondweni ezazigcwele ubunyama, iyezi lobunyama lasuswa kwangena ukukhanya kobungcwele enhliziyweni zabantu. Kwakuyinjwayelo ukuthi imigca yeBhayibhili ifundwe iphindwa phindwa, sengathi lowo olaleleyo wayefuna ukuzwisisa ukuthi wayezwe kahle yini. Ikakhulu amazwi lawa ayephindwa kakhulu: “...legazi likaJesu iNdodana yakhe liyasihlambulula ezonweni zonke.” (1 Johane 1:7). “Njengokuba uMose waphakamisa inyoka enkangala, kunjaloke iNdodana yomuntu imele ukuphakanyiswa, ukuba ilowo lalowo okholwayo kiyo abe lokuphila okungapheliyo.” Johane 3: 14, 15. {GC 73.3} IEP 73.3
Abantu abanengi baqala ukuphuma phakathi kwenkohliso yemfundiso yebandla leRoma. Bananzelela ukuthi kwakuyize konke ukuncengelwa kwesoni okwakungenziwa ngumuntu loba yingilosi. Nxa ukukhanya kweqiniso kwakufika engqondweni zabo, babejabula besitsho amazwi athi: “UKrestu ungumpristi wami, igazi lakhe lingumnikelo wami, ilathi lakhe liyindawo yami yokuvuma izono.” Bazinikela ngokuphelela emsebenzini owenziwa nguJesu, bephinda amazwi athi, “Ngaphandle kokukholwa, kakwenzeki ukumthokozisa.” Amaheberu 11:6. “Ngoba alikho elinye ibizo, ngaphansi kwezulu elinikiweyo ebantwini, esingasiliswa ngalo.” Imisebenzi 4:12. {GC 74.1} IEP 74.1

Endaweni ezifihlakeleyo ilizwi likaNkulunkulu lalikhitshwa njalo lifundwe, kwezinye izikhathi phambi komuntu oyedwa, kwezinye izikhathi phambi kwequla labantu elalilangazelela ukukhanya njalo leqiniso. Ezikhathini ezinengi babesenza njalo ubusuku bonke. Kwakusiba kukhulu ukumangala kwabalaleli okwakubangela ukuthi lowo owayebafundisa engami ukubabalela baze bazwisise indaba zosindiso ezihlabusayo. Ezikhathini ezinengi kwakuzwakala amazwi afana lalawa: “Kambe uNkulunkulu uzawamukela na umnikelo wami? Uzangimomothekela na? Uzangithethelela yini?” Impendulo yayifundwa ethi: “Wozani kimi, lonke elikhatheleyo lelisindwayo, mina ngizaliphumuza.” Mathewu 11:28. {GC 74.3} IEP 74.3
Ukukholwa kwabambelela esithembisweni, kwezwakala impendulo yentokozo ethi: “ Akusadingakali ukuthi siyekhuleka ezithombeni, akusadingeki ukuthi sihambe uhambo olude sisiya endaweni okuthiwa zingcwele. Ngiyenelisa ukuza kuJesu nginje, ngilesono njalo ngingcolile, njalo kawuyali umkhuleko wokuzidela. ‘Izono zakho zithethelelwe’. Lezami, lezono zami zingathethelelwa!” {GC 75.1} IEP 75.1
Intokozo enkulu yayigcwala enhliziyweni, njalo ibizo likaJesu lalidunyiswa ngelizwi lokubonga. Bonke ababesizwa indaba lezi ezimnandi babebuyela emakhaya abo besiyakwabela abanye njengokuzwisisa kwabo, amaqiniso lawa abasebewazwile njalo lokuthi basebethole indlela yeqiniso leyokuphila. Kwakulamandla amangalisayo ayephuma emazwini woMbhalo oNgcwele, ayekhuluma manqamu lenhliziyo zabantu ababelangazelela ukuzwa iqiniso. Inceku yeqiniso yayiqhubeka ngohambo lwayo, kodwa ukuzehlisa, lokuzimisela, njalo lokuziphatha kwakhe, kwakusala kuyisimanga lapho ayedlule khona. Ezikhathini ezinengi abalaleli bakhe, babengabuzi ukuthi wayesiyangaphi lokuthi wayevela ngaphi. Ekufikeni kwakhe babemangaliswa ngamazwi wakhe, kuthi ekucineni ngenxa yokujabulela amazwi ayebatshele wona, babecina bekhohlwa lokumbuza. Nxa babemcela ukuthi ahambe labo emzini yabo, impendulo yakhe yayisiba ngeyokuthi kwakumele avakatshele ezinye izimvu zomhlambi ezilahlekileyo. Kambe ngabe bekuyingilosi yezulu na? Wayeqhubeka ngohambo lwakhe esethekelela ezinye indawo, kwezinye izikhathi wayesiba sendaweni lapho ayephefumula khona umphefumulo wakhe wokucina entolongweni engaziwayo, kwezinye izikhathi amathambo akhe ayengofakazi endaweni lapho ayefakazele khona, iqiniso. Kodwa amazwi ayewatshiye emuva ayengeke atshabalaliswe. Abavangeli bamaWaldensi babethumba umbuso kaSathane, okwabangela ukuthi amandla obunyama avuswe azame ezinye indlela zokulwisa iqiniso. Wonke amaqhinga wokuhambisa ivangeli ayekhangelwe nguSathane, wenza ukuthi inceku zakhe zibone ingozi yokwamukelwa kweqiniso. Abathungameli bakapapa babona ingozi enkulu eyayilethwa yizisebenzi zeqiniso embusweni wabo. Nxa ukukhanya kweqiniso kwakungavunyelwa ukuthi kufinyelele abantu kungavinjwanga, bananzelela ukuthi iyezi lemfundiso yamanga elalembese abantu lalizasuswa. Bananzelela ukuthi ingqondo zabantu zazizadonselwa kuNkulunkulu kuphela njalo ukukhanya kweqiniso ekucineni kwakuzatshabalalisa amandla weRoma. {GC 76.1} IEP 76.1
Ukubakhona kwabantu laba, ababebambelele enkolweni yebandla lasendulo, kwakuyibufakazi obabuhlala buveza ukuhlamuka kwebandla laseRoma, ngakhoke lokhu kwenza ukuthi abathungameli bebandla leRoma bebazonde kakhulu njalo bebahlukumeze. Lokwala kwabo ukuletha iMbhalo yonke kubaphathi beRoma, kwakulicala elikhulu ababengasoke balivumele ukuthi liqhubeke. Ibandla leRoma lazimisela ukuthi libatshabalalise ebusweni bomhlaba. Kwaqala impi enkulu ezintabeni bathumba imizi yabantu bakaNkulunkulu.
