GENERAL CANVASSING AGENTS

L. T. NICOLA

A good deal of time was taken up with the discussion of the canvassing work, and, as a result of the deliberations, it was decided that the field in the United States be divided into two parts, the Mississippi River being the dividing line; and that two general agents, instead of one, be employed, F. L. Mead to have charge of the eastern division, E. M. Morrison to be over the western division, and Louisiana being included in the eastern division of territory. It is hoped that, by thus dividing the territory, the two general agents that have been appointed will be able to do much more effective work. We confidently expect as a result of this change, to see the canvassing work take on a fresh impetus, and develop rapidly during the coming season. GCB January 1, 1896, page 650.11
