Before I proceed further, I wish to call attention to a few facts from the Scriptures of divine truth.

The word “Eternal” occurs but twice in the Old Testament. Once in Deuteronomy 33:27, and is applied to God - “The eternal God is thy refuge” - and once in Isaiah 60:15, and is spoken of the city of God - “I will make thee an eternal excellency.”
