• Hebrews 9:26; Leviticus 4:27-31; 16:30. Object of service was to put away sin. Prophets and Kings, 684, 685. BHB 37.13

• Hebrews 9:22. Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Early Writings, 149. BHB 37.14

• Matthew 26:28. Christ’s blood shed for the remission of sins. The Acts of the Apostles, 552, 553. BHB 37.15

• Leviticus 4:27, 28. Sinner brought a lamb. BHB 37.16

• Hebrews 9:6. This service continued throughout the year. The Great Controversy, 421, 430. BHB 38.6

All of this service was an object-lesson to lift up the great Sin-bearer before the people. BHB 38.7
