New Testament Prophets
• Acts 7:37. Christ was a prophet like Moses, -one with whom the Lord spoke “mouth to mouth.” Numbers 12:6-8. BHB 143.11
• Luke 1:67. Zacharias, the priest, possessed the gift of prophecy. BHB 143.12
• Luke 2:25-27. Simeon, the priest, was a prophet. BHB 143.13
• Luke 2:36-38. Anna, the prophetess, at the advanced age of eighty years published the news of the Saviour’s birth. BHB 143.14
• Matthew 11:9-11. John the Baptist, greatest prophet. BHB 143.15
• Acts 11:27, 28. Agabus prophesied of general dearth. BHB 143.16
• Acts 21:10-12. Seventeen years later he gave a personal testimony to Paul. BHB 144.1
• Acts 21:8, 9. Philip’s four daughters prophesied. BHB 144.2
• Acts 15:32. Judas and Silas were prophets. BHB 144.3
• James 5:1-5. The financial condition of the last days revealed through James. BHB 144.4
• Acts 10:9-17. Peter had visions. Through him was revealed more clearly than by any other prophet the purifying of the earth of fire. 2 Peter 3:7-13. BHB 144.5
• Revelation 1:10. The book of Revelation portrays the history of the last days as revealed to John in vision. This was given in A.D. 96. BHB 144.6
• 2 Corinthians 12:1-7. Paul as late as A.D. 60 speaks of the “abundance of the revelations” that were given him. BHB 144.7
