Robert Fleming, V. D. M., wrote a book entitled “Apocalyptical. Key. An Extraordinary Discourse on the Rise and Fall of the Papacy.” It was published in London, 1701, 1703, and 1929. In the 1929 edition, p. 48, we read that an “explication may be found in the title which the Roman pontiff has assumed, and which is inscribed over the door of the Vatican, ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’ (Vicar of the Son of God). In Roman computation this contains the number 666, as will be seen below. FAFA 229.3
