The Minor Prophets

These twelve were classed by the Jews as one book (Acts 7:42). By whom they were collected is not known, but Ezra, Nehemiah, and Malachi may have aided in forming the canon. The period which they cover, within which the major prophets also fall, extends from about 870 to 440 b. c. The chronological order is about as follows: Joel, Jonah, Obadiah(?), Amos, Hosea, Micah, Nahum, Zephaniah, Habakkuk, (Obadiah?), Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi. [p. 68] HBS 40.1
