We are instructed not to “invest our money in buildings, or in any way tie it up so that it can not be used for the advancement of the work of the Lord in our world. It is too late now to build houses which consume the means which the cause of God needs so much. Put your means where it can be used in the Lord's work. This is what the Lord would have you do.”—Unpublished MS., August 8, 1899. GCB July 1, 1900, par. 1
