The Two Thrones Representing the Kingdoms of Grace and of Glory

THE TWO THRONES

The Scriptures distinctly speak of two thrones. One is the throne of the Father, the other is the throne of the Son. Christ first sits on the throne of the Father, to reign in connection with him in the kingdom of grace until human probation shall close. He will then reign upon his own throne forever, in the kingdom of glory. In these emphatic words, Christ addresses the church: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcome, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:21.
