The book of Revelation clearly shows the work of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary is central to the plan of salvation. Today Christ is engaged in His final ministry* on behalf of sinners. When this work is complete, Jesus will finalize humanity’s redemption that was already accomplished at the cross by returning to take His people home. In Christ, God overcame the separation, restored peace, and won our trust. Christ’s appearance is coupled with the last or executive phase of the judgment. With the return of Jesus in all His glory, humankind will forever be reconciled with God. His kingdom and reign is finally and forever established. JTLD 88.2
