The account in the book of Job of a cosmic convocation involving representatives from various parts of the universe gives additional insight into the great controversy. The narrative describes a dialogue between Satan, who came among the representatives, and the Lord, in which Satan tells God he has been going back and forth on the earth. A dialogue ensues regarding Job’s obedience and the motivation for his exemplary life. JTLD 213.2
