Counsel #2 — An Army Of Youth

Picture: Counsel #2 — An Army Of Youth CCL 4.1

Why does God use young people? After all, couldn’t He use people with more experience and skills? Maybe it’s not about that. When God called young people to follow and serve Him in the Bible, He also empowered them for what He called them to do. When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet, Jeremiah’s first reaction was to protest that he was too young! Yet God responded by explaining that He would give Jeremiah the words to speak and would defend him when necessary. When God gives us a mission to do, we just have to be willing to start immediately! CCL 4.2

"But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak." Jeremiah 1:7 CCL 4.3

“With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world! How soon might the end come—the end of suffering and sorrow and sin!” Ellen White in Education, p. 271.2 CCL 4.4

Reflect: Do you feel like God is asking you to step out of your comfort zone in some way to serve Him? If you’re not sure, why not pray and ask God to show you where He wants you to serve Him.[2] CCL 4.5
