The Bible reveals the authentic and historical account of how God created everything in the universe. In just six literal 24-hour days, He formed the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all living things. After this amazing work, God took a day to rest, establishing the Sabbath as a permanent reminder of creation week. The pinnacle of creation was humanity, made in God's image and given the responsibility to care for the world.^[20] When everything was complete, it was perfect — a reflection of God's glory.^[21] CCL 16.2

“Here [in Genesis 1 and 2] is set forth clearly the origin of the human race. God created us in His own image. There is no reason to suppose that we evolved by slow degrees from lower forms of animal or vegetable life. Inspiration traces the origin of our race, not to a line of developing germs, mollusks, and quadrupeds, but to the great Creator.
