Counsel #7 — Spiritual Imperative
Picture: Counsel #7 — Spiritual Imperative CSI 66.1
The concept of human equality, worthy of equitable treatment isn't just a noble aspiration within Christianity; it's a spiritual imperative deeply woven into the core of the gospel—rooted in God’s love. This is not something we can achieve by sheer will power; it comes from a transformation of our hearts, which is a gift of God (Ezekiel 36:26-28). When we love like Jesus does, we can never practice discrimination or endorse inequity. Whether it be race or gender, economically deprived, or educationally illiterate, the aged or considering those with disabilities; we will treat every individual as a cherished soul for whom Jesus died. Christ’s sacrifice paid the price for every soul, regardless of ethnicity or background. Regardless of our earthly differences, each soul holds equal value, redeemed by the same blood, and loved unconditionally by God. This realization fosters a sense of shared humanity and encourages us to treat one another with respect and compassion; seeking equitable treatment for all.[103] CSI 66.3
