Pursuing equity and fair treatment for everyone, is part of a true Christian’s DNA. Numerous passages in Scripture emphasize the significance of justice and fairness in our interactions with others, irrespective of social background or position.[2] It means we align our actions with the principles of justice that find their foundation in God. Below are some tangible ways you can pursue social justice: CSI 4.2

  • Advocate and speak up for the marginalized.[3]
  • Actively work to address systemic inequalities through supporting policies that promote equality or by participating in community initiatives that empower the disadvantaged.[4]
  • Practice generosity and sharing resources with those in need.[5]
  • Build relationships with the marginalized; offering support and solidarity.[6]

By following these principles and taking action guided by God's word, you can actively pursue social justice and contribute to creating an equitable society. CSI 4.3

"You must not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you." Deuteronomy 16:19, 20 NIV CSI 4.4

“Justice and equity are the foundation of the throne of the divine Ruler.” Ellen G. White in Manuscript Releases, vol. 13, p.317 CSI 4.5
