Educators and scientists have observed a positive relationship between music and learning. Music in the classroom helps students retain information, enhances creativity, and creates a cheerful atmosphere.^[71] CLi 78.2

Music is also a valuable element of spiritual education. Songs that remind us of what God has done for us in the past keeps the memory of His faithfulness alive in our hearts. It is also easier to memorize biblical texts when they are sung. CLi 78.3

“The value of song as a means of education should never be lost sight of. Let there be singing in the home, of songs that are sweet and pure, and there will be fewer words of censure and more of cheerfulness and hope and joy.
