“He who fails to plan, plans to fail!” Those who are most successful at time management don’t just let the day “happen.” Maybe they will get around to devotional time with God, maybe they will get around to exercise or time with family or friends, meeting deadlines or quota, but there’s no real plan in place for those things to happen. CLi 43.2
Jesus tells us “If we seek first the kingdom of God, all these things will be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. In practical terms, this could mean getting up in the morning in time for prayer, praise, and study of God’s Word (phone off!).[39] If wasting time is a problem in your life, ask God to keep you from distractions, and to help you plan a daily schedule that will contribute toward managing your goals. CLi 43.3
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV CLi 43.4
“There is no limit to the usefulness of the one who, putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart, and lives a life consecrated to God.” Ellen White in Testimonies for the Church, vol. 8, p. 19 CLi 43.5
