Counsel #2 — Organize Your Day
Picture: Counsel #2 — Organize Your Day CLi 41.1
Prioritize your tasks! Consider taking just five minutes every evening to make a list of important things you need to accomplish the next day. List the tasks in order of importance. Draw a line through the tasks as you complete them, starting at the top. Every evening, before you make up your “to-do” list for the next day, briefly review your current list and ask God to increase your efficiency, focus, and discipline.[37] CLi 41.2
The most important item on your “to-do” list will be protected time with God for Bible study, meditation, and prayer. CLi 41.3
“Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which, having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?” Proverbs 6:6-10 NKJV CLi 41.4
“Our time belongs to God. Every moment is His, and we are under the most solemn obligation to improve it to His glory. Of no talent He has given will He require a more strict account than of our time.” Ellen White in Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 342 CLi 41.5
